The Simple Woman's Daybook 3 June 2013

Outside my window....the hot muggy weather is gone, replaced by cooler more seasonable days.  The soft sounds of the wind chimes and the breezes blowing through the trees are a welcome change from the oppressive stillness of the past week.

I am thinking...about carefree days and days full of responsibility and obligation.  Don't let it get around but I think I might be growing up.  The days of obligation seem to be winning out over the days with nothing planned and nothing to do.

I am thankful...for sunshine and rainbows that follow the storms.  I know that God has blessed me every time that my sons call or my daughter smiles.

From the kitchen...there will be something on the table tonight, I just don't know what it is quite yet.

I am wearing...warm and cozies!  It's a mite chilly this morning but I am happy for the relief so bundling up is in the cards for today.

I am going...to PT this morning and to run a few errands after then it is back home to enjoy my family and my life.

I am reading....about St. Monica, a woman close to my heart.  For the first few days after school ended I was so overwhelmed by the idea that I could read anything I wanted that I wasn't able to read anything. Now I cannot seem to stop reading.

I am hearing....Layn chattering away as he helps his Auntie feed the dogs,  Melissa get the laundry machines going for the day, and MK's rousing military workout music playing in the other room.

Around the house....Monday morning things are happening.

One of my favorite things...the routineness of our days that at the same time offer room for the surprises of large families and friends.

A few plans for the rest of the week....except for standing appointments I am out of the planning mode for a few weeks.

Here is a picture thought that I am sharing with you....
Papa and Layn worked hard together on Saturday to build raised beds so MK can plant the rest of the garden today.  What would papa do without all the help he gets from Layn?
