I just want to be like you

He watches, intently
as only a two-year-old can.

Every move.
Digging, dumping
and driving.

I want to be just like you,
don't you know,
can't you tell.

Uncle Matt, one of my many heroes.  Someday I will be just like you. Like Uncle Ryan, Uncle Adam, Uncle Jason, Daddy too.  So much to copy. So much to admire.   Someday I will be just like you.
Digging, dumping, and driving.
I want to be just like you,
don't you know,
can't you tell.

In my sandbox,
I don't play.
This is serious stuff.
I only do what you taught me.

Digging, dumping, driving.
I want to be just like you,
don't you know,
can't you tell.

I may be the little guy now,
but I am growing and
soon you will see.

I want to be just like you,
don't you know,
can't you tell.

Digging, dumping, driving.
