The Simple Woman's Daybook 24 June 2013

Outside my window...the sun is shining and the heat is already shimmering up from the pavement in front of the house.  I would hazard a guess and say that the temp is already in the 70's and the humidity is around 80 percent.  It's going to be a steamy one!

I am thinking....about the way that members of the same family can take such divergent paths in life.

I am thankful...for the little people in my life.  Their presence is what keeps me examining myself and keeps me from stagnating and getting too set in my ways.

From the kitchen...look out folks today is "get creative with leftovers while at the same time not heating up the kitchen" day.  That translates out to I haven't a clue what's for supper but it will be filling.

I am wearing....a tank and pj pants.  No need to change yet since I have PT in the pool this morning.

I am going...to PT in a little while and then I hope to stay at home all the rest of the day.  It is countdown time till I have to think about preparing for my trip across this country to visit my sons.

I am hearing...the dryer working on its first load of the day, Layn chatting with MK while he sits on his potty, and MK loading the washer with the next load.

Around the house...everything is wiped, vacuumed, washed and tidied.  MK and I make a great team when it comes to the Monday morning routine around here.

One of my favorite things...watching Layn indulging his imagination.

A few plans for the rest of the week...PT, appointments, adoration, family, food, and fun. Doesn't that list just make you want to be a part of it all?

Here is a picture thought that I am sharing with you...
We are never too busy to just hang out.

I think that you and I share a brain sometimes. My mom and I were discussing how radically different she and her siblings are even though they were raised by the exact same way. My brothers and I aren't so different, though. It's crazy how these things work out sometimes.

Somebody's a busy gal! It sounds like some pondering too...I know how it is, I'm a thinker as well. : )

Darling photo, we love just hanging out too. The photo reminds me of an old fashioned photo, it reminds me of my dad when he was little in his photos. Love the potty talk...so darling. Oh if these little ones could be the problem solvers of the world...
