My Daybook30 August 2021

Outside my window...it is a bright sunny day albeit a hot one. Though it does get a bit warmer and muggier here in Tennessee than it did in New York I am still very thankful for the sunshine. Every ray of sun is a reminder that I am alive and can see all of God's wonderful creation around me.

I am thinking...about the world around me. Today as I drove through town to run my errands I was struck by the number of people who waved or smiled at me. I have to say that the friendliness factor here in the South is a few notches higher than it is in the North. I don't recall having random truckers wave at me going down the highway when I lived up North. Here that is becoming a daily occurrence for me. I like it.

I am thankful...for my health and the fact that I can still live in my home and not have to have someone come in and see to the daily aspects of my life. This weekend MK is flying to NY to attend a friend's wedding, what a blessing that she doesn't have to make arrangements for my care while she is gone.

One of my favorite things...being able to say leave one or all of the kids here with me tonight, or being able to call up others in the family to see and hear them.

I am creating...memories that I can take out and enjoy when I am no longer able to get about on my own. If that time never comes then the memories I create now will be there for those who created them with me.

I am wearing...yucky shorts and a tee shirt. Monday is clean all the things day along with wash all the dirty stuff day. After all that is done it is usually run errands day then come back and finish up what is left day.

I am reading...Animal Farm by George Orwell.

I am hoping...that MK has a great time at the wedding next weekend.

Here are some picture thoughts that I am sharing with you...

My riding buddy while we traveled to Gatlinburg to visit Ripley's Aquarium.

I will never tire of the wonder on a child's face when they experience a new thing. Teddy had as much fun at the Aquarium as the rest of us did.

Of course a trip under the sea is never complete without the requisite mermaid sighting.

Looks like fun times and great memories! I too had a little traveling buddy to L's shower this past weekend... These little babies are such a sweet little Blessing.

Enjoyed reading about your schedule and life, very nice read. Sounds like a good book to be reading about now... Yep.
