Monday in the octave of Easter

Today is brought to you by many of the pics I took this past weekend. I figure since this is my blog and I want to it will be heavy on the images and light on the prose.

When I looked out and saw Matthew running across the field my eye saw him as a little boy but the camera captured the image of a man.

Matthew stood in for a professional photographer to snap some family pics for Kim. Not too bad but he's been advised not to quit his day job.

Taking a walk to the top of the hill past our house has become a favorite activity lately. Some of us are beginning to realize that, unlike in our youth, the activities of daily living no longer count as exercise.

I love this boy and all the outfits he comes up with on a daily basis. In spite of the shorts a guy still has to have a way to be armed so a leather belt becomes the best accessory for the job.

Don't be fooled by her size or sweet smile. This little girl is an athletic powerhouse and very competitive.
Another activity of late is playing soccer in the field across from the house. Annie and Kaycie are going to be starting in a league today. Even the dog gets in on the action.

This little boy lights up like the sun when Auntie comes home from work. It's hard to keep him from running into the road in his excitement.

This little man, right here, this is what life is all about. Each and every soul that has been sent to this family is the only reason to be living on this earth. They must be loved and taught so that they too can be entrusted to continue God's mission to claim souls for heaven.

Saturday evening Uncle hid 71 plastic eggs for the kids to find. I'm not sure who enjoyed it the most, Uncle who hid the eggs and watched them being hunted, or the kids running around and squealing with happiness as each egg was located.
Even Teddy found a fair number of eggs (with the help of Auntie and Grandma).

How many little boys do you know that can stand on their heads, stick their tongues out, and touch their noses? Not many I'm willing to bet.

"Hi, Neigh, Neigh!"

On yesterday's walk the girls were introduced to a neighbor's dogs.
Of course when we found this hollow log the kids had to get inside.
I will finish this too long blog with a video of Teddy playing with my sewing machine case. I'm certain this kid can take anything and make it fun.
