Outside my window...the sun is shining for all it’s worth. The presence of the sunlight and the increasingly green world outside my window is encouraging and up lifting. Though I know God is equally in the rain as the sun the rain cannot penetrate to the soul the way that the sun can.
What I am hearing...MK crooning to Teddy as she feeds him and rocks him to sleep, Nate is mumbling to himself as he plays with his toys, and Home Free is singing their brand of praise and glory to God in the background.
What I am wearing...denim capris and a camo tee shirt. Today calls for comfort. The plan is to spend the day out here on the sun porch sewing, listening to music and generally being myself.
What I am learning...about the love and generosity of my children. I am daily amazed at these humans that God blessed my husband and I with. I delight in recognizing his influence on their lives and characters. How good the Lord is to me.
What I am planning...to fill my world with more and more color and love. I want to strive to reflect the love and blessings that I have been giving back to the world.
What I am working on...I have the blocks for several quilt tops swirling around in my head. The plan is to piece to my hearts delight until we find a house and the rest of my machines get down here from storage.
What I am thinking...about possibly getting a pedicure and finding a salon that can make some order out of the mess that is my hair. Perhaps I should begin to care again. I have discovered that my not caring about myself is beginning to to concern those around me and that was never my intention.
Here is a picture thought that I am sharing with you...
This past weekend my son, daughter-in-law, and MK got together and turned their unused sun porch into a sewing room for me.The Hoosier that I bought makes an excellent place to store fabric and to set up my ironing station.
There is room for MK and Kim to set their machines up and for Teddy and Nate to be with us while we work. The sun streaming in here every morning makes it an inviting place to sit and pray while I work.
