Mom's Monday

Outside my window...it is another sunny day. After a rather chilly weekend with freezing temps at night, today's high in the upper 60's is most welcome. No one is allowed to talk about the forecast of snow on Saturday.

He wonders why grandma makes him stay seated until his food is gone. Really, grandma, I have to be on the move.
You cannot see the brussels sprout in his cheek but we all know it is there.

Perhaps a smile and a cute look will get him released back into the wild?

These are the many moods of Teddy.

Uncle spent some time this weekend sewing. Kaycie felt that his machine needed to be spiffed up with some Moana stickers.

After a trip into Johnson City and the purchase of purple fabric and trims Uncle was roped into teaching Kaycie how to sew.
Actually all she had to do was give him a big smile and a hug.
Kaycie modeling the purple bag that she and Uncle made together.

Friday evening after Auntie got home from work was a good time to play a round of croquet. Teddy needed a helping hand (or was it Uncle that needed Teddy's help) I forget.

Seems like Teddy is helping everyone!

Nate is a determined player!

Kaycie plays croquet the way she plays everything, with concentration and an eye to winning.

Saturday evening Nate had his first Tee ball practice. The sun decided it was not only not going to make an appearance but it invited the wind to come visit too.  With temps in the low 50's and a good stiff wind blowing this little man was ready to throw in the towel, curl up with a cup of hot tea, and call it a night.

Finally, Sunday dawned bright and sunny and much warmer. After church and breakfast Uncle and the kids ventured outside.

Teddy was content to wander around with his various "beep beeps"

Kaycie persuaded Uncle to play soccer. She's fierce and competitive and determined she's going to keep up with everyone else.
Even Diesel got in on the game. Thank you Lord for that beautiful open field across from our house!
Grandma didn't think it was quite warm enough for shorts and a muscle shirt but Nate disagrees.

They ran this guy around so much that he spent the evening being a big rug!

Today was back to work for Uncle. The kids are anticipating their parent's return and grandma is wondering where did the years and the energy go.
