A new week beginning and another passing

Outside my window the sun is shining and the earth is rich with it's fruits. It is also hot, 82 at 10AM, and muggy, relative humidity of 67% and a dew point of 70. But, on the plus side the AC is working, we have a nice cozy place to escape the heat and plenty to do indoors.
Saturday morning I was surprised to welcome this little lady for breakfast. I watched her for a good 10 minutes while she ate the seeds smaller birds had dropped on the ground then ran off into the woods.

Part of Saturday was spent at a car show. The owner of this vintage beauty graciously let the kids sit inside. Me thinks that Kaycie was born in the wrong century! Check out those cool shades.
This all wood wonder stole the show from all the others.

Teddy liked this Model A "guck"

After all the fun of shopping and car shows we came home to work that still needed doing. Nate and Uncle worked smarter not harder to move grandma's cage tank to its spot in the back yard. Nate is riding his tricycle while Uncle holds the tank on the back step. Nate rode that thing all the way uphill.

Last week this little guy turned 2. How does that always happen when the grownups aren't looking.
Teddy's hair is getting a little long and unruly but his dad is determined not to let Kim cut it. Even after sporting a couple of pig tails for most of the day.

Uncle Ian sent this shot of Lilly Beth "helping" him get the lawn mowed. She's another one who is growing up too fast.

Princess Annarose found this heart on while out with her dad and brother. There is a smile that makes her grandma melt.

Kaycie played goalie for half of her game last week. I think she was bored since the rest of the team rarely let the ball get down to her end of the field. She did manage to shout orders to her teammates while she was there.

Annie surprised us all by making one goal herself and assisting teammates for several more. The girls won 5 to 0!

To cap off the whole weekend Uncle took Kim and I to see the new Top Gun movie. I have never seen the first one and am not particularly enamored of Tom Cruise but all in all it was a good show. The only thing marring the whole evening was I discovered that seeing a new movie without Papa was not fun. Oh well, as Ryan would say, some days are like that.

Thus we find ourselves waking to a new Monday with no mistakes in it, yet.
